The Thing About Wisdom

With AI upon us, sometimes the value of wisdom is lost.

Being wise in a world of youthful exuberance can be a bit like trying to swim upstream in a river full of salmon. You’re paddling against the current, struggling to be heard over the cacophony of voices that surround you.

These young ones, they’re full of energy and enthusiasm, but sometimes they forget that wisdom comes with age and experience. They think they have all the answers, but they haven’t yet learned to ask the right questions.

It can be a lonely existence, being the voice of reason in a sea of youthful exuberance. But the thing is, we have to keep sharing our insights and experience, even when it feels like nobody is listening.

The truth is, the world needs the guidance of the wise just as much as it needs the energy of the young. We may be different, but we need each other to thrive.

So, what do we do? How do we bridge the gap between youthful energy and age-old wisdom? It’s not easy, but it starts with mutual respect and understanding.

The young ones need to realize that they don’t have all the answers, and that they can learn a thing or two from those who’ve been around the block a few times. And the wise need to be patient, to remember that they were once young and inexperienced themselves.

It won’t happen overnight, but by working together, we can create a world where the energy of youth and the wisdom of age can coexist in harmony. We just need to be willing to listen and learn from each other, even when it feels like we’re swimming against the tide.

And, every once in awhile, someone just needs to interrupt and say “Shut the fuck up you arrogant, early-stage being and listen carefully to what I’m saying!”

Do you think that phrase was generated by AI?
